Ripe Pu-erh Tea (Second Grade) from Fengqing (2024 Spring material)

This second-grade ripe Pu-erh tea is crafted from the Mengku Da Ye Zhong tea variety, grown in Fengqing County, Yunnan Province, at elevations of 1800–2300 meters. Yunnan’s unique high-altitude environment, rich biodiversity, and fertile soil create the perfect conditions for producing this exceptional tea.

Harvested annually from March 25 to May 16, the tea uses carefully selected leaves (one bud with one or two leaves) and follows a traditional Ripe Pu-erh fermentation process. The tea is piled in large batches, moistened, and fermented under controlled humidity and temperature conditions. Regular turning ensures even fermentation, allowing the tea to develop its signature sweet and earthy character with notes of dried fruits like longan and red dates.

The brewed tea reveals a deep red infusion with a smooth, full-bodied texture. Its aroma is rich and mellow, while the taste delivers a balance of sweetness and light earthiness, leaving a long-lasting, comforting aftertaste.

Packed with tea polyphenols, amino acids, vitamins, and antioxidants, this Pu-erh promotes digestion, boosts metabolism, and supports overall wellness. Brew with 100°C boiling water, using 6–7.5 grams of tea per 150ml gaiwan. A quick rinse is recommended before steeping for 10–15 seconds, with infusion times extended for subsequent brews.
