At this year’s Paris Tea Festival, join a special tea tasting hosted by Sergey Shevelev, founder of Moychay.nl and lifelong explorer of tea culture.
For over 15 years, Sergey has traveled to tea regions across China, Taiwan, Thailand, and beyond—visiting remote villages, learning directly from local tea makers, and selecting teas that feel truly unique. Each tea he chooses is the result of a personal encounter—a discovery made on the road, in the mountains, or over a shared cup of tea.
During this tasting, Sergey will guide you through several of these carefully selected teas, brewed using the Gong Fu Cha method—a traditional way of steeping tea in short, multiple infusions to reveal its layers of flavor, energy, and aroma. This is not a formal ceremony, but a relaxed and engaging experience where you’ll taste rare teas, hear the stories behind them, and learn how Sergey’s approach to tea has shaped the Moychay community around the world.
What to expect:
• A tasting of several special teas sourced directly by Sergey
• Brewing using the Gong Fu Cha method for a deeper experience
• Stories from Sergey’s travels and personal connection to each tea
• A chance to ask questions, share impressions, and meet fellow tea lovers
Whether you’re a tea enthusiast or simply curious, this tasting is a chance to experience tea in a personal, honest way—guided by someone who has dedicated his life to it.
